A magnetic field is generated that efficiently heats nothing but the bottom of the pan. Since the heat is generated in the pan itself, the actual cooking surface or cooktop remains cool to the touch. The Pro s-line 1800 features split heating power when using both burners and has 8 power levels and easy control cooktop with touch control with the highest quality glass -ceramic surface available. Temperature is adjustable from 140 Degree F to 430 Degree. Included is an 180-minute timer with automatic shut-off. In order for this burner to work it must be used with induction ready cookware.
